Two Tenths of a Point From Serie A
Serie A in La Lega, the Italian Restaurant League, covers the leading 20 places. Three restaurants share 20th with 92.5 points, Dal Pescatore in Canneto sull’Oglio, Gabbiano’s in Portland, Oregon and Seta in Milan, so this edition’s Serie A has 22 members.
The next two, Aroma in Rome and Gourmetstube 1897 in San Martino in Passiria, share 23rd with 92.3, 0.2 points short. The line between Serie B and Serie C is as fine: Buona Terra in Singapore closes Serie B in 40th with 91.1, and Drago Centro in Los Angeles and Il Bocconcino in Costa Adeje open Serie C on 90.9.
The whole table is tight. From first place (96.6) to 216th (79.7), no two neighbouring places are more than 0.6 points apart, and 164 of the 216 ranked restaurants share their score with at least one other. The 40 places of Serie A and Serie B span 5.5 points.
Ties stay together in La Lega, so a division can have more than 20 members, and the league advises reading close scores together. See the full La Lega table.
