Rankings that map power, influence and performance
League Index is an independent rankings platform that evaluates how institutions, cities, organisations, and other influential actors behave and perform across countries and over time. Rankings are based on transparent, evidence-based methodologies and are presented as ranked tables grouped into tiers for clarity and comparison.
Current ranking
European Political Parties Ranking (DMI Index): A pan-European ranking of political parties based on their Democracy and Media Integrity (DMI) score.
The ranking assesses party behaviour in relation to democratic norms, media freedom, rule of law, transparency, and accountability.
How the rankings work
Ranking-based
Entities are ranked using composite scores derived from multiple documented indicators. Rankings reflect relative performance at a given point in time.
Tiered presentation
Ranked results are grouped into performance and risk tiers to improve readability and interpretation. Tiers do not imply competition or seasons.
Evidence-based
Scores are calculated using documented evidence, institutional reporting, court rulings, and structured expert assessment. Ideology and policy positions are not evaluated.
Updated periodically
Rankings are updated on a regular basis. Exceptional updates may occur following major political or institutional developments and are clearly documented.
