Two Dutch Parties, 198 Places Apart
The Netherlands has a party in the top five of the Political Party League and the party in last place. GroenLinks-PvdA ranks 5th of 203 with a score of 89. Forum voor Democratie ranks 203rd, last in the league, with 19.
That is a 198-place gap within one country, the widest in the EU. Slovakia follows with 186 places between Progresívne Slovensko (9th) and Republika (195th), then Czechia with 183 between the Pirates (15th) and Trikolóra (198th).
The Dutch middle is crowded. D66 and Volt score 83, the VVD 79 and the CDA 69. The PVV scores 48 and ranks 167th.
On 1 July 2026 GroenLinks-PvdA merged into a single party, Progressief Nederland (PRO). The league still lists it under its April name.
