About
League Index is a public rankings platform that applies structured, transparent methodologies to assess performance, influence, and risk across different fields, including politics, governance, and other areas of public and social interest.
The project is designed for journalists, researchers, civil society organisations, policymakers, and citizens seeking clear, comparative insights into how institutions, organisations, and other influential actors behave and perform across countries and over time.
League Index focuses on behaviour and institutional impact rather than ideology, personal preferences, or popularity. Its aim is to support accountability and informed public debate by presenting complex evidence in a clear, comparable, and accessible format.
Rankings published by League Index are grouped into tiers to improve readability and interpretation. These tiers are a presentation tool and do not imply competition or seasonal performance.
The methodology and research framework are developed in collaboration with the Media and Journalism Research Center (MJRC). League Index operates independently and applies strict safeguards to protect editorial, analytical, and methodological integrity across all rankings.
Each ranking published by League Index includes a dedicated methodology describing its data sources, indicators, and update cycle.
