Levica (The Left) Slovenia

Levica is a democratic‑socialist, eco‑social and left‑wing party that supports expansive welfare policies, socio‑economic redistribution and progressive rights, while remaining critical of neoliberal EU policies but supportive of democratic institutions. It has been an opposition and supporting partner at different times since 2018, with fluctuating influence on government agendas.

Disinformation and alternative media

Levica communicates mainly through mainstream outlets, public broadcaster RTV Slovenija, and its own professional digital channels; it is not embedded in a conspiratorial or extremist media ecosystem. Media‑monitoring over 2015–2025 associates large‑scale disinformation operations in Slovenia more with far‑right and nationalist portals than with Levica, which tends to be a target of their attacks for its pro‑migrant and pro‑minority stances.
